I gave advice to a friend that went to Vegas. I told her to take a $100 bill and set it aside. Once you gamble your money(and saved the rest and not leave Vegas without cash). Go to the High Limit slot machine area and take a chance at the $5 or $10 machines.
Play a $5 machine that has a maximum bet of $10(2 credits) or $10 machine with a maximum bet of $20(2 credits). Regardless of you win or lose, it teaches people to try and take a chance. You must use that $100 bill only. Never more and never less.
Why would you risk $100? Wouldn't be better to play 1 credit on either machine? What if I told you that you if did not max out on your bet and you you hit the best combination on the reels? You would get a 1/4 of that win.
It happened many years ago when I was 21yrs old. I was at a famous hotel and casino and played $1 slots. I hit "777" but I only had $2. Maximum bet was $3. I won $250. If I bet $3, I would have made $1000. Big difference there! This is why you want to bet max whenever you play at the casino unless you want to play penny slots.
